Description
Paras Taro is a work of carvings art and a sculpture of paras or stone. Paras are made with a mixture of special sand originating from Taro and mixed with cement so that it dries and is molded in small sizes. In the printing process, they use a special mold called "penakehan", then they are carved one by one and then arranged into the desired shape, generally the shape of the Taro people's work is in the form of a temple which is used as a means of offering or often called "sanggah" in Bali. The Taro community's economy largely comes from making this paras. In the process, it is not only carried out by old people but also Taro youth as the next generation.
